Terms of Service

VAZANTIS provides a spatial provenance and digital passport platform for high-value physical assets. The service allows you to register assets, log location-verified events, generate certificates, transfer ownership, and optionally anchor event records on the Polygon blockchain.

Features may evolve as the platform grows. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

• You must provide a valid email address and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
• One account per person. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Certain actions on VAZANTIS require credits. Credits are purchased in advance and consumed when the action is performed.

• Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
• Credits are digital content delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing a credit purchase you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
• Credits consumed by completed actions (asset creation, certificates, blockchain anchors, transfers) are non-refundable.
• Unused credits (where no credits from the purchase have been spent) may be refunded within 14 days of purchase — contact support@vazantis.com.
• If a paid action fails due to a technical error on our side, credits are automatically refunded to your balance.
• Vazport™ cards are physical goods. You have the right to cancel an unshipped order within 14 days for a full refund — contact us before dispatch. Once shipped, returns are accepted only if the item arrives damaged or faulty.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. VAZANTIS does not store card details.
• Prices are displayed in euros (EUR). VAT or other applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country of residence.

You retain ownership of any content you upload (asset photos, descriptions). By uploading content you grant VAZANTIS a limited licence to store and display it as part of the service, including on public passport pages.

You are responsible for ensuring that content you upload does not infringe third-party rights and is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Asset records on VAZANTIS are intended to represent real physical objects. Creating fraudulent records, misrepresenting provenance, or using the platform to facilitate the sale of stolen goods is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement.

Provenance records (event history, photos of the item, location data, and certificates) are tied to the physical asset rather than to your account. If you delete your account, these records are retained with your personal identifiers removed so that future owners of the same physical item can access the asset's history. Your private notes and nicknames are permanently deleted.

When you opt in to blockchain anchoring, a cryptographic hash of your event record is permanently written to the Polygon public blockchain. This record:

• Cannot be deleted, modified, or retracted.
• Contains only a hash — no personal data, no asset identifiers, no location data.
• Is publicly visible on the Polygon network.

By opting in, you acknowledge and accept the permanent and public nature of the on-chain record.

Each registered asset has a public passport page accessible to anyone with the link. This page displays the asset's brand, model, reference, trust score, event history (without exact location), and any certificates. It does not display your identity, serial number, or private notes.

By registering an asset, you agree to this public display. If you do not want an asset to be publicly viewable, do not register it.

You may not use VAZANTIS to:

• Register assets you do not own or have authority to register.
• Create fraudulent provenance records.
• Facilitate the sale or transfer of stolen property.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
• Circumvent access controls or exploit security vulnerabilities.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

VAZANTIS provides a provenance record platform. We do not authenticate, appraise, or guarantee the authenticity or value of any asset. Records on VAZANTIS reflect information provided by users; we cannot verify the physical item.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VAZANTIS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to VAZANTIS in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page. Account deletion is subject to a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel the deletion and restore your account. After 30 days, personal data is permanently erased. Provenance records for registered assets are retained with personal identifiers removed — see the Privacy Policy for details. Unused credits may be refunded subject to the refund policy in section 3.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

We may update these Terms. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus).
